Zoom on the HIT exhibition of the Paris Healthcare Week
Medsquare will be present at Carestream’s booth at the HIT (Health-ITExpo, booth O24) exhibition of the Paris Healthcare Week, which will take place on 29-31 May at Porte de Versailles. This is an excellent opportunity to show not only the benefits of this alliance but also to present the Radiation Dose Monitor (RDM) solution to all customers, including those of the Krypton project.
In February 2018, Carestream was chosen by the public interest group ‘E-health in action’ (GIP Esea) to implement the Krypton project in New-Aquitaine for the exchange and secure sharing of medical imaging data. As part of this tender, the manufacturer selected Medsquare to deploy the RDM patient dose monitoring solution on a regional scale.
This is the first time that a regional dosimetry service has been requested in a regional PACS project. Carestream analyzed solutions to fully address the functionalities of Krypton’s program. “Medsquare’s RDM solution has quickly proven to be best suited to the project’s objectives,” says Christian Ducron, Healthcare Consultant at Carestream France. “RDM has already been deployed in projects of similar size and configuration and allows seamless integration with our cloud architecture. Another key element in our decision was Medsquare’s responsiveness and involvement in building a solution dedicated to Krypton.”
This partnership highlights Medsquare’s long-term roots in France, where the company continues to develop large-scale projects. “The collaboration with Carestream in France demonstrates both the quality of the RDM solution and the increasing visibility of Medsquare,” says Dominique Gabriel, CEO of Medsquare. “We have found our place among the players in the medical imaging market in France and are being solicited on numerous tenders. Today, Medsquare has the necessary experience to manage projects at this level, and our company meets the needs of major manufacturers such as Carestream perfectly,” he adds.
The Krypton offer: two levels of DACS RDM services
Under the initiative of the Regional Health Authority (ARS) New-Aquitaine, the catalog of services that will be available to professional actors in the GIP Esea will offer RDM with two levels of service concerning regional dosimetry:
First Level:
• Transmission of dose information from the healthcare facility to the regional DACS
• Access to the regional patient dose history managed in the healthcare facility via “dose synthesis”
Second Level:
• Access to all of the advanced tools of the regional DACS, facilitating the analysis of the technical and dose data of the studies conducted in the healthcare facility
Support and traning
With the transposition of the 2013/59/Euratom Directive, the two players will assist the healthcare facility project managers in deploying the RDM solution while offering quality support. Thus, Medsquare will provide dedicated teams to Carestream in order to carry out deployment projects in the hospitals concerned as well as to work hand-in-hand with Carestream.
In terms of training, it is expected that the Medsquare product specialists will travel to the manufacturer and the customer to train healthcare facilities on-site. “Proximity to the customer is an important concept at Medsquare for the smooth running of the training. With our dedicated team, customers can be confident that they can quickly master the RDM solution and receive support at any time,” says Saad, Medsquare Project Manager.
