This year’s motto at ECR 2019: “The Bigger Picture”
Annual meeting of the European Society of Radiology (ESR), Medsquare will be participating in the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) in Vienna from February 27 to March 3. This year, the ECR will celebrate its 25th anniversary with the motto “The Bigger Picture”. For its organizers, this 2019 edition is much more than a congress of radiology. Above all “it is the event where radiologists, radiographers, nuclear medicine physicians, medical physicists and professionals from related professions come together under one roof to discuss, explore, and present every aspect medical imaging has to offer” according to an article from the ESR published in January https://www.myesr.org/article/1948.
On the program: new RDM features
New RDM tool for enabling fast, interactive and customizable statistical analysis of:
○ Patient dose data (visualization of possible radiation protection problems arising from a modality, drift in procedures, etc.
○ Facility Department data (number of patients, distribution of requests, waiting time between patients, etc.).
2. Calculation of the effective dose on all modalities
In addition, RDM calculates the effective dose in conventional radiology, mammography and interventional as recommended by the ICRP.
3. Patient at isocenter in scanner
New module to assess the patient’s centering during the examination which strengthens therefore professional practices.
